Happy Monday! Today begins my three day work week before I head out sailing in the British Virgin Islands for eight days. Yep, be jealous! So before I whisk myself away to the 85 degree weather, I'm talking cold weather essentials since that's exactly what it is here :: COLD. I told you about my love affair with the crocheted poncho last week; a lightweight piece that you can take from season to season. Today I'm here to tell you about the cape :: It's heavy, warm, cozy, and just for winter. In the past I've seen capes that look big, boxy and frankly, too hard to manage. Constantly shifting, falling off or restricting your arms, most capes don't really seem functional. But, I found a cape with sleeves {yay!}, herringbone & fringe to make it a little bit more feminine.
I've been wearing this like crazy; over dresses, tops and sweaters.
A disclaimer :: If you are 5'2" and below, you most likely can't wear this {So sorry!}. It will swallow you whole and it only comes in one size.
The best part? This fringed herringbone cape is 40% off right now!
I love the gray tones in the cape and they pair perfectly with my olive shirt dress {also 40% off today!}
