DIY Outfit Series :: OUTFIT #1

Happy Tuesday and happy Snow Day to my fellow Atlantans!

Since many of us are cooped up inside today, I decided to start a little blog series that will {hopefully} inspire you at home. Each day I will post a different outfit {or two} that you can DIY at home and make with the clothes and accessories in your own wardrobe. Outfit #1 is simple + chic :: my go-to outfit when I'm feeling blah or uncreative, which happens a lot on dreary winter days.

OUTFIT #1 :: All BLACK with a Pop of COLOR + ANIMAL Print

TOP :: Tunic-length black blouse or sweater {similar HERE, HERE, & HERE}

PANTS :: JCrew Pixie OR Snap Front Pixie Pant {20% off with code SHOPPINGTIME!}

NECKLACE :: Add a pop of color with a statement necklace like THIS multi-colored statement necklace {top} from JCrew or THIS Blythe Necklace in Violet {bottom} by Loren Hope

EVERYDAY ARM CANDY :: Kendra Scott Jordana Bangles, JCrew pave link bracelet + Michael Kors  {now on SALE!}

SHOE :: My animal print of choice is leopard, but if you prefer something a bit more subtle, go with a soft snakeskin in a neutral color. Heel or flat, a pointed-toe elongates your legs. My Steve Madden flats have been my go-to shoe for several seasons now, hence the dirty inside {gross, sorry!} BCBG heel {left} OR Steve Madden flat {right}

The best part about an all black look is that it is SO versatile. You can take it from day to night, work to play, weekday to weekend, and season to season. We've all got some black in our closets; pull out your blacks and experiment with a pop of color & animal print! It's timeless and chic with little to no effort on your part.

Stay tuned for Outfit #2, coming up tomorrow!
