Transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall

Happy Tuesday! Wow - I took a major blogging break and it was really nice. I felt like I needed to unplug for awhile, not to mention we've been so BUSY that sitting down to blog has crept lower and lower on my to-do list. But I'm back, and it's almost September! This means a few things -

1) It's time to start addressing your fall wardrobe (AKA call me!)
2) It's time to start thinking about how to transition your wardrobe as the days stay hot and the nights {hopefully} start to cool down (AKA read this blog post)
3) It's time to shop if you feel your fall wardrobe is lacking (AKA call me!)

Today I'm sharing some tips for transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall, most of which happen to be my must-haves for the upcoming season. Enjoy!

1) VEST IT.

If you don't own summer to fall vest (military vest), you are missing out. I tell every single one of my clients to have one, as it is so versatile for layering year-round, but especially for throwing over a sleeveless top, dress, etc. Then, bring it into fall over a sweater or long-sleeved tee.

2) OPEN-TOED BOOTIES.

My feet are so ready for fall, but full-on booties are a little overkill, at least here in Georgia. That's why I love an open-toe bootie. You can wear them now and in the fall, and they look great with everything from dresses, to shorts, to jeans and leggings.

3) DISTRESSED DENIM

I don't know why, but distressed denim just seems lighter and more summer-y to me. Until we go full-on fall mode, add in some distressed denim with a tank or tee to go from day to night as the weather starts getting cooler.
