Sliding into Summer

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend and I'm sharing one of this summer's biggest trends - the slide. I was a little skeptical at first because let's be honest - a lot of the slides you're seeing look like something your grandmother might wear. BUT, I've actually come to love the slide because it's just so easy to slip on, and comfortable to not have to deal with an ankle strap, etc. I've also found that most of them are pretty flattering if they hit in the right spot and I've found LOTS of options are super cute and non-grandma-ish (not that there's anything wrong with grandmas - we just shouldn't wear their shoes!).

Summer Staple | Navy Dresses

Happy Hump Day! I'm giving myself a pat on the back because this is my THIRD day in a row blogging and I am so proud of myself. If I can get three blog posts up in a WEEK, I'm doing great, but my goal this year was to really amp up my blogging so I'm trying to follow through on that. Plus, spring and summer makes it so fun to blog because there are so many great summer staples! Case in point, I always love a good navy dress. There's something classic and timeless about navy and most everyone looks great in it. Today I'm sharing a fun navy dress from one of my new favorite boutiques, Willow Park. They are an online boutique that is local in Marietta, and the women who run it are awesome and fun! We met last week over champagne and shopping and if that doesn't make you my instant friend, I don't know what does. If you don't follow them on Instagram + their website, do it now! They have the greatest staple pieces with lots of fun jewelry and accessories. I'll be teaming up with them a lot in the near future to bring you so much goodness!

I love this dress because the lace top is so fun, it's lightweight, and the sleeves on it are a super flattering cut. I wore it on Mother's Day for church & brunch, and it's great for any summer occasion - from showers, to lunches, to date night etc.
*It runs pretty true to size - I'm wearing a small and am usually an XS/S, 5'5".

I am also in love with these earrings. The navy against the white really pops, and they're easily worn from day to night. My cut-out block heels are linked HERE (and under $50!) Since I had some questions about my sunglasses, I tried my best to find them but I got them at Nordstrom Rack several months ago. I believe that THESE are them, or at least the most similar that I could find!

11 Random Favorites

Good morning! Today's post is super random, but also may be super helpful for anyone who is on the hunt for a great little gift, housewarming present, new pillows, a cute dress, awesome earrings, etc. Get my drift? All 10 of these items are RANDOM, but things that I am really loving right now. Here's why :: 

1) This mug set. I found it on Amazon months ago while looking for gifts, and ended up keeping them for myself because I love them (whoops!). They make a great housewarming gift, or just a great set of mugs to have. I love the prints and blue makes me happy

2) These raffia earrings. I stumbled across them last night and Y'ALL. They look super lightweight (I will confirm this later on when I hold them in person) and I love the texture! 

3) Pom pom pillows. I love all things pom pom and am excited to incorporate it into my home. These are on promo and are super comfy! 

4) These slide sandals... Do they even need an explanation?! FRINGE | BAUBLE

5) On the subject of pom poms, I found this adorable dress recently and sizes are selling out quickly! 

6) This dish towel because it's just plain cute

7) Because I can't keep a plant alive, I've been on the hunt for some great faux ones. Fiddle leaf figs are by far my favorite, and this is a great faux option! 

8) Cork Phone Case - I've been on the hunt for a new phone case and I LOVE anything cork - shoes, bags, and now phone cases. I also love the rose gold frame. 

9) Did y'all know that Stella & Dot has sunglasses now? I love them all but these are definitely my favorites. 

10) This pouf. Because I love poufs and this is pretty! 

11) Cut-off denim shorts because they are a summer staple, and I love the raw hemline on these

Easy Summer Dresses

Happy Monday! It is HOT HOT HOT in Atlanta and one of my favorite things to wear in the summer is an easy dress. When I say easy, I mean no-fuss, lightweight, flattering and cute. I don't want to have to tug at it, belt it, wear sticky boobs, suck in or any of that nonsense. Today I'm sharing some of my favorite EASY dresses that can go from day to night in the summer heat. It's Back | The Denim Skirt + Mother's Day Special

Happy Tuesday! The denim skirt is making a comeback and although I was a little hesitant at first, I'm now fully on board for a couple of reasons ::
1) It's easy
2) It has a flattering shape
3) It's an alternative to denim shorts which can be too tight, too short, etc.
4) It's great with shorter, more cropped tops which are everywhere right now
5) It's cool & casual for summer! 

Today I'm sharing a casual denim skirt look featuring this cute cropped ruffle top that I have worn with this skirt, high waisted jeans, and shorts. It's so fun and flirty for summer. I love the raw hem on this skirt. It does run a little long, so even if you're not petite, you might want to go petite if you like your skirts on the shorter side.

Red Hot

Happy Friday, y'all! Today I'm sharing one of my favorite RED HOT tops. I am a big fan of the color red, but for some reason I don't have a whole lot of it in my closet. It has to be a pretty perfect shade of red for me to wear it, and this top fits the bill. I love the open shoulder detailing  and the tie sleeves, plus the length is great because you can wear it with leggings into the fall. I paired it with these amazing red statement earrings and white denim, but this top goes with ANY bottom. Perfect for a summer night out!  

I am obsessed with this snake cuff bracelet! Love the pop of blue and it layers with any other bangle, bracelet, watch, etc.

The Perfect Day to Night Spring Look

Happy Monday, friends! It may be raining outside, but I'm sharing a sunny spring look with you today that goes perfectly from day to night. This is one of my new favorite tops for spring and summer. It is SO lightweight which makes it perfect for hot & humid days. It's one-shoulder which makes it so cute, flattering and great for nighttime too! I love this lilac color and it also comes in a yellow which is next on my spring purchase list. Pair it with a pop of color and white denim and you're set for virtually ANY spring event or occasion!

This Clare V. sisal bag is a major summer favorite. You can wear it as a cross-body, tote, or shoulder bag and it compliments any outfit.

I recently got these sandals and I LOVE them. The block heel is a nice low height, and the strap placement on both the feet and the ankle is really flattering (that sounds funny, but it's SO important especially when you are trying to elongate and make your legs look leaner)
