Easy Daytime Look

Happy Thursday, y'all! We had such a great Spring Shopping event last night. Everyone got stocked up for spring and it was so much FUN. I'll be doing another one in the future so if you missed this one, not to worry! A full summary of the event with photos will be on the blog soon.

Today I'm sharing an easy daytime look with you because... who doesn't need one?!

This cold shoulder gingham top is made of the softest material (size down - I'm wearing an XS), has the prettiest colors, and is easy for wearing casually, or dressing up for night time. Here's an easy daytime casual look that you'll find me wearing on repeat this spring...

White jeans. If you don't have 'em, you need 'em. I've linked these, plus some other current favorites at the bottom of the page.

Also, can we talk about these shoes? I am all about the slide trend because they're so easy, but I love how these add a little bit of height and texture. They are ultra comfy, too!

The $46 dress, done 3 ways

Happy Friday, y'all! I'm back on the blogging train after an unplanned break! Things have been busy around here... spring is always busy but this year is on a whole new level! I have so many wardrobe and shopping clients which is so much fun, but regular blogging takes a backseat! Anyways, I'm back at it and today I'm sharing a dress that you need in your closet. Okay, probably don't *NEED*, but with this dress at this price point, you're really gonna want it.

1) It's a flattering shift dress. Not too tight, not too boxy. I'm wearing a size XS

2) It comes in all the colors. Hurry! They're selling out...

3) It can be worn for daytime casual, date night out, or to work. Win-win-win!

4) It's the perfect material for wearing year round with various layers. Even in the winter with tights, boots and a jacket or sweater!

Here's how I wore it three ways - for work, play and date night:

1: WORK...
...with a cute white jacket (this one is almost sold out so I've linked a similar HERE), heels, and the perfect backpack tote for carrying your laptop, etc.

2: PLAY...
...by itself! Paired with casual wedges (these are the most comfortable wedges EVER), fun earrings and a simple cross body bag

3: DATE NIGHT...
...I added a leather jacket, woven block heel sandals (20% off!) and the cutest pom pom clutch

Hope you have a great week, and snag this dress while you can!

Splurge vs Steal | Clare V Alice Sisal Tote

OUTFIT DETAILS : jeans (all-time favorite white jean), similar shoes, top is old

Happy Monday, y'all! Even though it's freezing here today, spring break is coming up and permanent warm weather is (I think) headed our way! Today I'm sharing some amazing dupes & lookalikes for one of my favorite summer bags. If you loved the Clare V. sisal tote last year, but didn't love the price, this post is for you!

This bag was totally sold out last summer, and there weren't many lookalikes / dupes for it since it was so new. Well, it's still the perfect summer bag this season, and there are SO many cute STEALS that don't have the $200-something SPLURGE price tag attached.
I'm sharing them all below... happy shopping!

Our 6 Year Anniversary with Brown & Co.

Happy Friday, y'all! This weekend is special because Harrison & I are celebrating our 6 year anniversary! I literally cannot believe it's been THAT long, and at the same time it's ONLY been that long. So weird how that goes! Anyways, we are headed for a little staycation at the Hotel at Avalon. Be sure to follow along on Instagram for that fun!

Today I'm talking about anniversary gifts, particularly mine ;) If you know me, it's no surprise that I don't follow the traditional yearly anniversary gifts like paper, leather, etc. Nope - this gal asks for DIAMONDS every year. Harrison says it's ridiculous, I say it's smart (okay, I know it's kind of ridiculous, but diamonds are the one thing I'd never buy myself!). I love stacking my rings so I'm always looking to add a dainty band to the stack.

This year, we headed to Brown & Co which has quickly become my favorite local jeweler. I remember my dad coming here for gifts for my mom when I was growing up, and now that we live in Roswell, we love the proximity, the people and the service you get. It's truly unbeatable!

One thing I love about Brown & Co is a little thing called the 'Wish List'. This means that you can go in, play with jewelry, and they'll keep record of what you like. Husbands, rejoice! It's that easy. Wives, rejoice! You don't have to send your husband links, or annoy the you-know-what out of him with "helpful suggestions" around gift giving occasions. This is such a genius idea!

So, we did just that. I headed in and played with some really pretty jewelry and made a wish list for Harrison. I already have my tiny cross and bar necklace that I never take off, so I was set on a ring/bracelet/earrings. We ended up going with this beautiful David Yurman ring, but the everyday stacking bracelets and amazing gold statement earrings were major contenders- as you can see, they were all such great everyday pieces and I was able to style them with so many things... So now Harrison has a nice little list for the next big occasion.

Another thing I love about Brown & Co is the people; they are a family business, customer-service oriented and so NICE! It's truly a great experience every time I go there. I have diamonds from my great-grandmother's brooch that I am having made into a bracelet by Brown & Co this summer which will be so special. They really do it all - from watches, to custom pieces, to engagement rings, anniversary gifts and more!

If you are looking for a great local jewelry in the Roswell or Buckhead area, be sure to head to Brown & Co. You'll never go anywhere else again!
*Plus, mention this post and get a free jewelry cleaner. I use this stuff every day!

Β

A big thanks to Brown & Co. for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

What You Need to Know About Shopping at SheIn + My Favorites

Happy Monday, y'all! If you're like me, you've often wondered about the quality of clothes that you see people wearing when they say, "This dress was $14 from China!" Well, today I'm here to give you the scoop about shopping internationally, specifically from Shein.
Here are a few things to note:

  • You get what you pay for in MOST cases, and that's okay. I've found that while some things are cheaply made, they don't necessarily look cheap and will hold up for as long as you'd expect them to. HOWEVER, I have also found items that are surprisingly well-made and look much more expensive than they are. I'll share them all with you in this post.
  • The shipping takes awhile, but they've recently gotten better. I heard they got a USA location of some sort, and my most recent order was much quicker than orders I've placed in the past.
  • I think it's absolutely worth it to shop here for items that aren't going to be timeless staples in your closet. A fun top (like the cute one I'm wearing!), a cute dress for an occasion, costume jewelry accessories, swimsuit coverups, etc. Don't expect to get a great fitting, long-lasting pair of jeans or the most comfortable shoe you've ever worn. But if you're looking for cheap, cute things it is absolutely worth the *very little* money out of your pocket
  • Popular items sell out. If you see a big-time blogger wearing it, chances are the sizes are very limited or it's completely gone (like my top is now, of course!). They are always stocking new inventory so it's rare that I see anything being RE-stocked. If you like it, jump on it!
  • Because the sizing can be so weird, I've found it's best to buy things that aren't super fitted around the waist/shoulder/arms. For example, the majority of what I've bought are tops, shift dresses, oversized tunics, shoes and swimsuits / coverups. If you're unsure of your sizing, then maybe don't get a peplum top that has no stretch.
  • **Always look at the reviews! I have found them to be super helpful in regards to quality and sizing.

Here are some of my favorite finds :

Little Black Spring Dresses

Happy Monday, y'all! Today I'm sharing my favorite LBDs for spring. When in doubt, I go for black in any season. Black dresses are easy to throw on, flattering, and can be worn day to night. I also love how classic they are. This one is a big favorite of mine because it's cute, comfortable and different than your basic LBD. I love the tie sleeves, the plunging neckline can make it date-night appropriate, or you can wear a cami / bralette underneath for daytime wear (I'm just wearing my favorite black lace bra), and the midi length is one of the only ones that I've actually found to be flattering.

I am also obsessed with this denim jacket. I was in need of a new one this season and when I found this I couldn't resist! Plus the price point is budget-friendly.

I've linked up several of my favorite spring LBDs below (along with my outfit details), in case you're in the market!

The Perfect Work Pant + Why You Need a 'Work' Vest

Happy Tuesday, y'all! Today we're talking workwear. I have found the perfect work pant - SO cute year-round, scalloped hem, & a budget-friendly price tag ($34.50!!) - plus they come in both black AND red!  I'm also here to tell you why you can benefit from a "work" vest! You know I think every woman should have a vest in their closet, but did you know you can utilize one for work, too? I love a good duster/trench vest because it serves the same purpose as a blazer, but can be worn into the spring and summer when you don't necessarily need a blazer. It's also great for going from the office to dinner or drinks and not looking as business-y.

I've linked my full outfit, plus some of my favorite work vests below!
