Sliding into Summer

Happy Thursday! It's almost the weekend and I'm sharing one of this summer's biggest trends - the slide. I was a little skeptical at first because let's be honest - a lot of the slides you're seeing look like something your grandmother might wear. BUT, I've actually come to love the slide because it's just so easy to slip on, and comfortable to not have to deal with an ankle strap, etc. I've also found that most of them are pretty flattering if they hit in the right spot and I've found LOTS of options are super cute and non-grandma-ish (not that there's anything wrong with grandmas - we just shouldn't wear their shoes!).

Shop my personal collection, plus all my current favorites in stores...

PS - You can find the twisted slides (mine are yellow - that color is sold out, but there are other colors and they're only $19.99!) HERE.

Leather + Leopard

Happy Wednesday! Once again, I'm apologizing for not blogging because we have so much going on. If you haven't been following along on facebook / instagram, we just bought our first FLIP! We've been hard at work with renovations and plan to get it back on the market within 45 days or so. HENCE, I have not had much spare time between fall wardrobe clients, design clients and house flipping. Follow along with our flip progress on the Mimosa Design Co. instagram

Now let's get back to fashion...

Today I'm sharing what's sure to be one of my favorite combos for fall :: Leather & Leopard. This look has so many of my favorite things... leopard, leather, pleats, silk, comfortable, chic, the list could go on and on.

I love, love, LOVE this "leather" pleated skirt. The best part? It's under $100 and is super flattering. Lots of times I find leather to be uncomfortable or restricting, but not this number! You can pair it with a chambray button-down for daytime wear, a sweater & tights + boots in the winter, and so much more.
