Powder Room Transformation

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm bringing you some home inspo with my some before and afters of my powder room project.

Our powder room started like this {below, left} when we moved in {AHHH!!!}

Then, it turned to this {above, right} when we moved in and replaced the vanity with a pedestal sink + painted it Ben Moore's 'Duxbury Gray.' I loved the deep color and the fact that I used to live in Duxbury, Massachusetts and it is one of my favorite places. But, I quickly realized that the color was too dark for such a small space, not to mention there's not a whole bunch of natural light in here.

I have a classic interior style but love to add in contemporary pieces and pops of color, mixing patterns, etc {much like my personal style}. AKA, I'm not afraid to get a little bold. I decided on this wallpaper from Wayfair {among other places} much to the dismay of Harrison, who said it "looked like an easter egg". I naturally ignored this. Here are some shots of the finished project ::

This was a fairly inexpensive project. The powder room only took 2 rolls of wallpaper since it is such a small space. Then, I added a new mirror and accessories. All in all, with the cost of wallpaper, installation, new light fixture, mirrors + accessories, this room came in under $600.

powder room accessorizing

I have greenery in every room in my home. I think it adds the perfect amount of green which is a color not many of us have a whole lot of in our decor. Greenery is also a clean and simple way to accessorize shelving, tabletop and more. Homegoods is the place to find it; from faux succulents, to topiaries to vases of flowers and more.
