the leopard sandal

leopardHappy Hump Day! Today we're talking a summertime must-have :: the leopard sandal. You've heard me say it before that you can absolutely use leopard as a neutral. It's true! And leopard doesn't have to be "fancy." It can be casual, understated and the perfect pop of chic. I love these simple ankle wrap-arounds by Seychelles. The best part? You don't even know you are wearing shoes, they're so comfortable!calypso-49calypso-47Pair your leopard with a simple short, your favorite maxi or sundress

the perfect weekender bag

Happy Monday, y'all! Today I'm curing those Monday blues and taking you back {or ahead} to the weekend. I've been searching for the perfect weekender bag for quite some time now; not too big, not too small, and nothing so heavy I feel like I'm lugging it around. My husband's only request of me when we head to the lake for the weekend is "Can you please consolidate all of your stuff into ONE bag?!" Why yes, hubby; your wish is my command. Enter, the Stella & Dot weekender bag.

Elephant Print

Not only is this bag the perfect size, it also zips out to expand even larger when you need that little bit of extra space. The leather is the perfect color, handles are sturdy, and this baby comes in multiple patterns and colors! My favorite has to be the elephant print. I love when red and purple combine and compliment one another perfectly.

This bag was perfect for our lake trip this past weekend

Here are all of the fabulous pattern options ::

Navy + Red Medallion

Red Ikat

Multi-stripe

Green Ikat

So ditch the duffle and consolidate your weekend necessities with the Stella & Dot Weekender. You'll be able to simplify your packing and add some order to that crazy busy life of yours.

made in america :: part one

tassel necklacesHappy Monday! I hope everyone had a Happy Fourth of July and a relaxing weekend.Β Our beach trip is officially over,Β and I am still refusing to accept that it's back to the real world. Anyone else? So in honor of the great U.S.A., we're kicking off a series highlighting some of my favorite brands and products that are made right here in America...

Today for part one, I'm highlighting a fun little company based here in Atlanta that makes beaded tassel jewelry :: Just Peachy. Rachel withΒ Just Peachy BlogΒ is a fellow fashionista and her lovely tassel necklaces were a welcomed addition into my casual wardrobe! These are so easy and fun to throw on with anything from a tee, to a basic dress by adding some bright colors & some tribal flair.

stay stylishly patriotic this 4th of July!

The Fourth of July is just around the corner, and today I'm bringing you some outfit inspiration to stay true to the red, white & blue in style! Whether you're headed to a backyard barbecue, the lake or beach, or a fireworks show in the park, you can ditch the Old Navy flag tees from 1990 {yes, you know what I'm talking about! Don't act like your family of 4 never did the matching Old Navy tee move on the 4th of July...}

How about pulling the colors together in a simple, non-cheesy way? Not only are these pieces great for your 4th celebrations, but they are classic staples that will remain versatile in your closet for the rest of the summer ::

more is more :: stacking your arm candy

Happy Wednesday! I apologize for my brief blogging hiatus; I've been all over the city and back these last few days, and the daily grind gotten the best of me! Today I'm back and bringing you some jewelry inspiration. You've all heard the saying, "Less is more." Well, ignore that when it comes to adorning your wrists. It may be applicable in other areas; Less is definitely more in terms of balancing your earrings to your necklace, and vice versa. But your wrist can be constantly over-adorned! There are virtually no rules here - mix your metals, mix and match various bangles, and experiment with colors and textures. Stack with your watch, or stack on the other hand. Mix vintage with new. Get my "anything goes" drift? Here's some inspiration + some of my favorite arm candy ::
