The Look For Less :: Embellished Sandals

TGIF! How 'bout kicking off the weekend with some weekend wear on today's 'The Look for Less?'

I have been crushing on jeweled + embellished sandals for casual summer wear, and absolutely LOVE  these Gemma sandals  {left} from Sole Society. They ring in at $64.95 -- not a bad price, but we can do better for a pair of sandals!

Sole Society Gemma, $64

Mossimo Belinda, $19.99

Mossimo Belinda, $19.99

Enter, these Mossimo Belinda embellished sandals {right} from, yep, good ole Target. They are about 1/3 of the price, ringing in at $19.99. I saw these babies on one of my weekly "quick trips" into Target and even went to another store just to find my size. You can now find them glued to my feet with everything from shorts and a tee shirt, to a maxi dress and more. They are super comfortable, the tan color goes with everything, and the best part? They don't look like they're from Target.

tuesday's trend alert :: neons

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend with friends and family. The weather was absolutely gorgeous {here in Atlanta, at least} and my hubby and I had such a relaxing weekend, our first in awhile without any set plans or places to be. Aren't those kinds of weekends so nice & refreshing?!

Tuesday's trend alert highlights bright neons and how to wear them. NEON is a scary word. It means bold, bright and sometimes obnoxious. But what you pair neon with is key. Here are two of my favorite neon outfits I've pulled out for spring thus far ::

This neon pink floral top from Anthropologie mixes perfectly with a mustard/sunflower blazer. A bright springy outfit without being obnoxious.

You can get the look for yourself; this top is still at Anthropologie & now on sale!

This is another look you can score for yourself! The dress is still on clearance at Target. Although not quite as cheap as I snagged it a few months ago...

And, a few favorite neon accessories ::

Stella & Dot Citrine Yellow Clutch, $89

Kendra Scott Skylar Earring, $65

Stella & Dot Norah Cuff, $79

Stella & Dot Palm Springs Scarf, $59

So don't be afraid to brighten up your wardrobe with a little pop of neon! As long as you're balancing it out with a complimentary color or neutral, you can rock it with confidence.

Don't forget, the LIFEstyled GILT CITY deal expires on Thursday, April 24th! That means you have two more days to take advantage of the one-hour wardrobe consult offer or get your Wardrobe Revamp at a huge discount! I would love to work with you in your spring wardrobe. You can check it out HERE

Until tomorrow!

working girl wednesday :: the nude shoe

Happy Hump Day! Today I'm talking to all you working women about the perfect spring/summer shoe for the workplace. A nude shoe is the perfect color for warmer months, goes with everything and is classically chic. Whether you prefer a wedge, a pump or a flat, go nude this spring! Don't darken and dull your outfit with a black or brown shoe; brighten it up with a nude hue.

Here's what I mean when I say "nude" ::

nude hues

Here are a few of my favorite nude shoes for all tastes & styles ::

For a more comfortable heel, try the wedge. In the spring & summer, go for a peeptoe rather than closed-toe, unless your work environment does not permit it. I'm loving the flirty bow on these, by Vince Camuto.

You can never go wrong with a nude pump. Wear it to work, to weddings, to cocktail parties & more. This blush-toned peeptoe by Ted Baker is perfection.

And of course, there is the ever-classic pointed toe nude heel. A bit lower for those who can't do the sky-high pump, this is a traditional nude shade by Isaac Mizrahi

For those that say "comfort is key" and are on their feet a lot, try a chic flat. A pointed-toe gives the illusion of longer legs and smaller feet. This one by BP doesn't break the bank, either!

And, for those of you who are more daring, add some flair to your flat by trying a neutral snakeskin. I love the yellow trim on these ones, by Sole Society.

Last but not least, the mid-heel. This Sole Society best-seller is perfect for those of you who want some added height but want the comfort, too. The ankle strap adds some flair for those office environments that are a little more lenient.

I don't know about you, but my nude wedges will be my go-to shoe for the spring and summer when I need a neutral.

Stay tuned tomorrow for an exclusive Spring Giveaway featuring Painted Earth Cosmetics! You won't want to miss out.

Until then,

Courtney
