Beautycounter Black Friday Sale

Happy Tuesday! Today marks the start of the Beautycounter Black Friday sale, which you DON’T want to miss! Get 15% off plus free shipping on your order! This is one of the VERY few yearly sales they will do, and if you’ve been wanting to try Beautycounter skincare and / or makeup, now is the time! They also have tons of amazing holiday gift sets that are great for stocking stuffers or gifts for loved ones.

If you’ve followed along for awhile, you know I am in love with Beautycounter. I won’t do a long post about it (you can read the Beautycounter story here), but I’ve been using it for about a year now and when I first tried it last November, I was immediately hooked. The products FEEL so good, make your skin LOOK so much better and are clean + safe, even during pregnancy and breastfeeding! Below I’m outlining my daily skincare & makeup routine and what I use, plus some holiday gift sets I’ve already bought. Happy start to your Black Friday shopping!

MY DAILY ROUTINE :

1) Countermatch collection | Cleanser, serum, day / moisturizer, eye cream. *Sidenote - I don’t LOVE the milky feel of this cleanser, so I usually mix it with this exfoliating one. I LOVE Countermatch because I have more normal / combination skin and it really balances my skin out. But, there are tons of options depending on what your skin type is! You can browse all the skincare collections here & decide what’s best for you.

2) Overnight Resurfacing Peel | I use this 3-4 nights a week and swear by it. It’s not necessarily a “peel,” but more just a serum type feeling product that you apply after you wash your face, then leave on overnight. It brightens, gets rid of dark spots, acne spots, and makes your skin tone more even. Safe during pregnancy which is a major plus with dark spots!

3) Skin Tint Foundation | This is a super lightweight foundation which I love. It adds the perfect amount of color and evenness to your skin without being heavy

4) Concealer Pen | I use the color ‘light’ and I use it under my eyes, on any blemishes, and around my nose. It is the best concealer ever!

5) Mattifying Powder | I put this all over my face after concealer. It has no coloring to it so it looks super natural, just giving you a more matte look and preventing shiny-ness throughout the day.

6) Bronzer | I have the shade ‘Surf’ and I apply it to my cheekbones, around my forehead, and on my chin to try and give the impression that I have one instead of two ;)

7) Blush | I just ordered ‘Sorbet’ for the winter because I love a deeper berry color! I love how pigmented this is and how easily it goes (and stays) on.

8) Eye Palette | Right now I’m using this limited edition holiday set, but I am also in love with the Necessary Neutrals Palette. If you’re starting from scratch, definitely get that one!

9) Eyeliner - I will be totally honest and tell you I don’t use BC eyeliner! My favorite is this Marc Jacobs gel liner pencil and it’s the best I’ve ever tried.

10) Mascara - I don’t use BC mascara either, only because I am still using my IT! Cosmetics Superhero and can’t seem to quit it.

11) Lips - I am in love with their lipstick. It’s so moisturizing, tastes like peppermint & goes on so smoothly. I got the holiday gift set for myself so I’m currently experimenting with those colors!

HOLIDAY GIFT SETS I LOVE (Click HERE to browse all gift sets)

1) MINI COLOR INTENSE LIPSTICK VAULT - all these colors for $79 (plus discount!)

2) SHIMMER & SHINE BODY SET - I got this for my grandmother and grandmother-in-law (and myself because I can’t resist this body butter and am dying to try the glow oil!

3) NECESSARY NEUTRALS PALETTE - a $116 value at just $89 plus 15% off + free shipping. LOVE all the colors

4) INTENSE MOISTURE DUO - Who doesn’t need this for dry winter skin?

5) INSTANT AWAKENING TRIO - I am all about any quick ‘pick-me-up’ in the morning or before a holiday party to make my skin brighter and more awake. This does just that.

6) BEST OF BEAUTYCOUNTER - Wanting to try Beautycounter or let a friend try it? This is a set of four bestsellers.

7) LIMITED EDITION COUNTERMAN SET - For him! Great stocking stuffer for your man, including 4 men’s skincare and shave essentials with a dop kit to put them in.

Holiday Gifting Made Easy + Maternity Leave FAQs

How can it be that it's already November?! This year (and this pregnancy) are flying by. For those of you who don't know already, my due date for little lady to make her debut is January 1, 2019. So, let me fill you in on all things holiday, maternity leave and fall scheduling!

PRE-BABY :
Since my job requires me to be solely on my feet, I will not take any clients past Friday, December 7th. If you want to schedule a fall / winter wardrobe consult or shopping trip, NOW is the time!

OFFICIAL MATERNITY LEAVE :
Once baby girl is born, I plan to take 12 weeks fully off. This actually works out with seasonal changes, since most people get their fall / winter shopping done before Christmas, and then start thinking about spring in March / April. So, if you buy a service over the Christmas holiday, just know that you won't be able to use it until the spring!

GIFTING MADE EASY!
NOW is the time to start thinking about Christmas gifts! While I will of course offer a Christmas special on all my services, I am introducing a brand new service this year, as well. Let me take care of your holiday gifting FOR YOU! Stuck on what to get that special someone? Let me do the shopping on your behalf. All you need to do is pick your price range, tell me a bit about the person & the gift you want to give, and I'll pick it out for you and deliver to your house (if local) or ship directly to you. You pay a flat fee for my time, and I provide you with the perfect gift, sans the hassle and stress. Click HERE to learn more about the Lifestyled Holiday Gifting.

ONLINE SHOPPING :
I WILL be taking online shopping requests before, and during maternity leave. So, if you are desperate for some shopping, not to worry! I will send you online shopping links to everything you need.

Already starting your holiday gifting? Here are a few of my new BeautyCounter favorites, perfect for gifts throughout this season!

What I've Bought Baby Girl So Far + Other Updates

Happy Friday! I accidentally took the week off of social media - I have never been busier with clients than this fall! I can’t believe that I am already in the third trimester. This pregnancy has both flown by and dragged on at the same time! We cannot wait to meet baby girl. A few weeks ago on instagram I shared some of her clothes and y’all sent me TONS of DM's asking for links. So, I figured I would share what I’ve bought her so far (or should I say - mostly what Her LaLa (my mom) has bought her so far…) I’m also sharing a few of my favorite clothing items that I’ve been wearing nonstop the past few weeks/months!

What I’ve bought her: I have discovered a lot of little shops that have super cute and mostly affordable items. I’m listing them below:

Hallmark Baby (who knew Hallmark had baby clothes? But, they’re super cute!)

Spearmint Love

Kate Quinn Organics

PatPat

SK Creations for monogramming

Kickee Pants

Posh Peanut

Lou Lou & Company

MilkBarn

And of course I have done lots of things from Baby Gap, Nordstrom, H&M, Zara, etc.! Sharing some favorites below:

A lot of you have also asked about her closet system! It is from Wayfair and linked here (ours is the Weathered Gray color). You can install it with the shelves in the middle and racks on each side, but we decided with our closet size, this was a better fit! It’s great for older homes that have those narrow closets with no shelving, like ours! (I still haven’t added baskets which I plan to put her pants, socks, bows, etc. in. This was right after we installed it!)

Here are some of my favorite bump-friendly, comfortable clothing items as of late:

My nursery tour will be up on the blog in November, but here are the pieces you’ve seen in the snippets and photos I’ve posted! The wallpaper is Thibaut Tanzania and I purchased it through Miko + Boone Home. Everything else is linked below:

Pretty Fall Florals

Fall is coming (fingers crossed…!) and I love a great, classic and feminine dress that you can wear season after season. I’m rounding up my favorites for you (many of them bump-friendly for you preggos!), including this flirty floral maxi, below.

I am beyond obsessed with this dress; it’s lightweight and airy, bump-friendly (I’m wearing a size small) and I love the floral and ruffle detailing. It will never go out of style, and I plan to wear it sans bump in the spring!

Here are some other pretty fall dresses I’m crushing on:

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, y’all! I hope all of you from the Carolinas are staying safe. Today I’m sharing some things that I’ve gotten recently & am really loving - and I know you will too!

Willa & Delores Earrings : I love this fun brand. I got them in red and black for gameday, too!

Leopard slides : These are so flattering, SO comfortable and you need them.

Ribbed henley midi dress : Bump-friendly! The softest, stretchiest material, I’m wearing a size S

Blush tote bag : Under $100, fits your laptop and looks way more $$ than it is.

Anthropologie Pumpkin Clove candle : Does this need an explanation?

Embroidered dress : bump-friendly! I got a size S.

SIC ‘EM tank by Stewart Simmons : Because GO DAWGS! Throw a denim jacket on over for fall. **Get 20% off your purchase with code LIFESTYLED20

Blondo booties : these are the best booties ever - waterproof, flattering, & comfortable.

Maternity legging pants : I am in love with the V detailing on these! I got a S.

This rug : I just got it for baby girl’s room, but love it for anywhere!

Lou & Grey Drawstring dress : The SOFTEST material, great for fall (maternity & non-maternity).
I got an XS

Hope y’all have a great weekend and GO DAWGS!

The Fall Vest You Need + Spotlight on Grand Ave. Jewelry

Morning, friends! I'm posted up with my pumpkin candle going, pumpkin creamer in my coffee and a crisp... 99 degrees outside. Haha, kidding. The weather definitely hasn't turned yet but I'm not letting that keep me from enjoying all the fall things. Speaking of fall things, this camo vest! You need it in your life! I think that every woman needs a fall vest, whether it be a neutral solid or something like this one. I of course have both, and there's nothing stopping you from mixing it up either! I love this because the drawstrings on the side allow you to make it as fitted as you want, and it goes over literally EVERYTHING; from dresses to sweaters, tank tops and tees, from stripes to black to white, & every color in between. Size down from your normal size (I'm wearing an XS and have plenty of room)

This bodycon maternity dress (ASOS knocks it out of the park with their maternity clothing!) is another favorite that I plan to take into fall with a vest like this, or a long cardigan. Bump and budget-friendly!

The real reason I popped on here today is to tell you about Grand Ave. jewelry. They sent me this necklace and bracelet and I am so impressed with the quality and look. I love the daintiness of the necklace and the fact that it goes with EVERYTHING. Everyone needs a long gold necklace in their life and if you're in the market, this is a great option. This bracelet is another favorite because it's a statement but also simple and basic. I love how cuff bracelets look on other people, but I've never found one that worked on my wrist for some reason (I have thicker wrists and the cuffs would always turn to the side and pinch in). This is the first one that I have loved, is comfortable and fits me. I have worn it almost every day!
You can get 20% off your purchase with code LIFESTYLED20

If you're in the market for basic quality pieces that won't break the bank, check out Grand Ave.

Fall-Ready with Linen & Flax Clothing Co.

Happy Friday! Oh my gosh, y'all... can we talk about the weather this morning? Harrison and I took the golf cart up to our favorite breakfast spot and I HAD TO WEAR A JACKET. I can't describe how happy this makes me! I asked him this morning - where can we live that it never gets above this temperature at any time during the year? Because I want to move there. I despise the Georgia summer heat...

Anyways - the crisp in the air also made me super excited for today's post! I'm partnering up with Linen & Flax Clothing Co. here in Roswell to show you a cute fall outfit, done two different ways. In case you're not familiar with Linen & Flax, let me fill you in! You know I love shopping local and for a long time I've felt that Roswell lacked in their boutique scene. Linen & Flax started as a home store, and their clothing store is an extension of that. Like the Home store, their style and inspiration is casual chic, simple, beautiful you! They have such pretty, basic, and simple wardrobe staples! I find something every time I go in there and the store is just SO pretty.

Today I'm sharing how a simple layering piece can change the look of an outfit. Everything I'm wearing is from L&F, so if you're interested in a piece, swing by the store in downtown Roswell (984 Canton St, Roswell, GA 30075).
PSA - they do plan to do ship orders in the near future, just not yet.

I love this dress. It's by Cupcakes and Cashmere which is a brand that I have always loved. It's non-maternity but clearly stretches to fit the bump! I sized up to a M (this brand does run a little smaller) and I plan to wear this post-baby. I love the simple stripes and the cut! Plus, you can do so much with this basic dress:
 1) Pair it with an army green jacket (I am beyond obsessed with this one! Let me just say... you NEED it. It's $85, lightweight, flattering and comfortable. I am wearing a size small. You can wear it over anything from activewear, to a tee and jeans, to a dress or sweater!

2) Add a fun sweater like this fringe cardigan/poncho. I love the texture & ease of this one; you can literally take it with you anywhere to throw on if you get chilly. Not too heavy, not too light.

Can we talk about these booties? I was hesitant because I didn't think the height of these would be very flattering on my thicker legs. But, they work! I love the color, the suede and they are ultra comfortable. I plan to wear them with dresses, leggings, jeans, jumpsuits, you name it!

*Calling all locals!
I will be partnering with Linen & Flax for a Fall Sip & Shop on Wednesday, Sept. 12th from 6:30-8pm. I'll be there sharing my favorite fall must-haves, as well as giving style and outfit advice. I'd love to see you there so be sure to stop in!

Follow along with Linen & Flax Clothing Co. on instagram.

Jump on it! My Favorite Summer-to-Fall Jumpsuits

Happy Tuesday! Today marks 21 weeks with baby girl and every day has us more and more excited! We cleared out her nursery this past weekend and I'm starting to get things in the mail each day, so it will be coming together bit-by-bit! I'll share a sneak peek with y'all as soon as we get a few things hung / installed.

It's no secret that I love a good jumpsuit. I've also found that most of mine have accommodated the bump so far, plus they are so easy to take into fall with a jacket and booties. Today I'm sharing some of my favorites, like this full ensemble complete with a bomber jacket jacket and suede mules (seriously SO comfy!) Of course my jumpsuit is sold out in most sizes but I'm linking up some similar ones / other favorites as well.

These are seriously my favorite shoes. I wanted them in blush but they sold out during the NSale, and now all colors and most sizes are back in stock so I'm contemplating adding blush to my collection! Also love the black. They are so comfortable, flattering and easy to take into fall since they're suede.

Linking some favorite bomber jackets below so you, too, can take your jumpsuits right into fall! *In case you missed the blog yesterday, 20% off ANY WARDROBE STYLING / PERSONAL SHOPPING SERVICE, now through Friday! Details HERE.
