Home Depot Holiday Style Challenge Part 1 | Classic + Timeless Outdoor Decorations

Happy Friday and one day closer to Christmas! Today I'm so excited to share part one of my Holiday Style Challenge with the Home Depot (check out my post on THD blog HERE). I was assigned my front door area, which happens to be one of my favorite parts of my house.

The exterior of our house has made some major transformations since we first bought it. First we started with paint and new shutters, and then we tackled the front door.

When we first moved in, we had a single, regular old door. We opted to switch it out for a set of beautiful double doors, made by my in-laws at Masterpiece Doors & Shutters. What a huge transformation it made! My favorite part about having double doors is that you get double the light coming in, and double the wreaths for each season. Is that silly?

I love the traditional look of a white and black house, so I like to keep my holiday decor on the traditional, Southern side too. A pop of red looks so fab and classic against a white house so I tried to stay in that theme and add pops all over.

BUT, I also love all the snow-frosted holiday decor that's popular right now. Some of it is a bit too modern for me, so I love this classic twist with stripes. I love how neutral they are; they will go with most any colors & decor.

I really wanted to add a little extra something to my windows because I've always felt like they looked a little bare. I chose these planters and decided to fill them with winter bushes and some poinsettias & pine cones / berries, then topped them off with a bright red bow.

Here's a list of what I did to step up my exterior game for this Holiday Style Challenge ::

-Snowy front door wreaths with matching topiaries
-Planters with winter greens, faux poinsettias + pine cones / berries, & bows
-Holiday accents on our front bench : "Noel" pillow

Tuck and Tess obviously had to join in on the fun (okay I forced them with treats)... I really want to use this picture for our Christmas card... too much?!

Our little white house is ready for Christmas, just in time for our 3rd annual Christmas party!

Thanks SO much to the Home Depot for sponsoring this post.
